Advisory Council

  • Anne Yastremski is the president of the board of the Hamilton Community Association in northeast Baltimore City, an active board member of Blue Water Baltimore and Northeast Partnership, and a court-appointed special advocate for children in need through CASA of Baltimore City. She currently works as VP, Population Health Strategy for a healthcare technology company. 
  • Bree Jones - Bree (she/her) is the founder of Parity, an equitable development company that rehabilitates abandoned properties by the block to create affordable homeownership opportunities. At the core of her work is development without displacement – she aims to revitalize distressed neighborhoods while ensuring that legacy residents are able to participate in and benefit from reinvestment. Bree has been a lifelong social justice advocate. As an advocate, Bree played a pivotal role in the creation of a Community Benefits Agreements in her hometown, and advocated for community protections in local legislation and zoning. 
  • Cynthia D Gross - I am a life long Baltimorian who has been involved in/lead serval grassroots projects. I have served as both the President and board member of the C.A.R.E Community Association. I have also served on the boards of Charm City Land Trust,  Neighborhood Rental/Housing Services and am the recipient of a State of Maryland Citizen Planner award for 2021. 
  • Drew Suljak - Baltimore native & practicing Architect working in Fells Point, and living in Hampden. I've lived in multiple neighborhoods throughout the city, and taught at Morgan as well at various other programs. I'm excited to be a part of Baltimore's next big moves!

  • Harry Coker is a retired CIA senior executive and career Naval Officer. His most recent government assignment was Executive Director of the National Security Agency. Coker is also a graduate of the US Naval Academy, the Naval Postgraduate School, and Georgetown University Law Center.
  • Jenny Torres was most recently the Fallstaff Community Organizer with CHAI and a Social Worker. Most of her experience has been working with the Latino and African-American community of Baltimore, predominately in schools. I also have extensive research background in immigrant trauma and early childhood socioemotional practices.
  • Jessica Morgan is a business professional, wife, mother, and community advocate focusing on community development. Jessica is clear that in order to create and maintain sustainable communities, stakeholders and constituents must take a vested interest in their assets for the betterment and growth of the community as a whole. Jessica’s goal is to ensure that the decisions made today make a substantial and positive impact on the future of our children.
  • Kashawna Duncan has been working in local government since graduating from Bowie State University in 2016. As a proud Baltimore native, she believes in social justice and empowering individuals to be themselves. KD uses her enthusiasm and personable personality to build relationships with her peers and gain support for important coalition priorities.
  • Katie Arevalo is a community organizer and victims advocate, born and raised in Baltimore City. She has dedicated her life's work to uplifting marginalized voices through trauma informed care and rights education.
  • Lisa Danaczko is an experienced writer and nonprofit professional committed to strengthening communities through inclusive arts and education programs. As the Board Chair of Wide Angle Youth Media and Senior Manager of Philanthropic Partnerships for BellXcel, she builds community-based partnerships to support Baltimore's whole-child learning programs.
  • Lynette K. Washington, Ph.D., is currently the Chief Operating Officer for Baltimore City Public Schools. Dr. Washington has a background in facility planning and urban and regional development. She is also resides in Baltimore with her husband and four children.
  • Mary Claire Davis is a resident of the Riverside neighborhood of South Baltimore. My career includes 20 years focused on affordable housing development. 
  • Michael Castagnola resides in Highlandtown, originally hails from NY but moved to Charm City 6 years ago with no plans of leaving. He got to know Baltimore working in local politics for Councilman Zeke Cohen and then for Elijah Cummings. In his free time he enjoys hanging out in the park, reading, listening to podcasts, and spending time with his son, Ennio.
  • Nadean Paige is Founder and CEO of C.A.L.L.E.D. (Communities Alive Loving and Lifting Everyone Daily) an organization committed to uplifting communities. Ms Paige graduated from Coppin State University with a Bachelors Degree in Urban Studies.
  • Paige Fitz is a life long resident of the Sandtown Winchester Community. She currently holds a BS in Accounting from Morgan State University and the Owner of Faithful Favor Financial Tax Services in West Baltimore. Paige has a passion for the youth of Baltimore City to see them thrive and reach their full potential.
  • Pam Curtis is the President of Park Circle Community Association, Community and Development Manager at GO Northwest Housing Resource Center, a Life Coach, and Community Leader. Pam serves on redevelopment panels, committees and is knowledgeable of all city agencies. She looks forward to continue this work, as a voice for the ones that aren't heard, nor otherwise at the table.
  • Raven Davis is a Baltimore native. Urban farming consultant. Professional problem solver.
  • Samia Rab Kirchner is an architect and professor of urban design. Her research interests include architectural history and theory, urban history and theory, Islamic architecture and urbanism, port city regeneration and incumbent upgrading. She is currently tenured Associate Professor at the Morgan State University School of Architecture and Planning, Baltimore. 
  • Shaina Lennon is lifelong Baltimore City resident and full time mother, partner and employee. As well as a current student at the University of Baltimore who enjoy helping others. Her goal is to help Baltimore become better, stronger and safer for all.
  • Steven Carterbarnes is looking forward to moving Baltimore Forward with all types of opportunities that will strengthen our neighborhoods and our children living in our historic communities.
