Public Informational Meeting

City Council Bill #21-0009 - Residential Conversions

The Department of Planning has scheduled a public meeting to discuss and gather feedback on City Council Bill #21-0009, which proposes to change the procedure for the conversion of single-family dwellings to multi-family dwellings in the R-7 and R-8 Zoning Districts. Specifically, the bill proposes to eliminate the requirement for such conversions to obtain an ordinance of the Mayor and City Council. It also seeks to add a new "Efficiency Unit" dwelling as a permitted unit type. (More information about the bill can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/y4u4rovc)
