The Department of Planning (DOP) will be working with members of the school and neighborhood to better understand their neighborhood experiences, priorities, and concerns.

Recent updates

  • The Department of Transportation is installing crosswalks in the school area along the primary walking routes in summer 2023.
  • Billie Holiday ES school and Katherine Johnson Global Academy both opened in September 2021 following renovations from the 21st Century Schools program.
  • DOP staff will convene INSPIRE workshops and attend school and community meetings and events to get input, develop recommendations, and hear ideas about a community project.
